One at the bank with a middle-aged lady teller, the other at the gas station with a 38 year old lady cashier. I love smelling it soften up but sill hold onto what it was created to be, a strong manly scent, almost if the marlboro man had a signature scent this would be it. Within an hour CEDT becomes sweeter, and develops a growing piss signature: is this the Jasmine I'm getting? Personal opinion: it's the green apple that people don't like in the opening, and I am one of those people, it's a random and unpleasant tartness right out of the gate, I don't pretend to know what Boss was thinking with that. I believe it's been modernized to be less intense, which may be a pro or a con depending on your point of view.

Strong at first, oddly sweet for a man's fragrance, not particularly lasting and just a hint of something very slightly artificial about it. To me, this fragrance shares similarities with Calvin Klein's Obsession for men but with a little more complexity. These fragrances are often constructed in a different manner to the traditional French Model and are formulated in one single burst. If you were to mix equal parts Lauder For Men and Givenchy Gentleman Originale and amplified it with 1,000 watts you would end up with Boss Number One. This is a complex one that is really a great performer and is very easy a crowd friendly scent and could even be my new signature scent. If you're looking for a similar genre of fragrance with less patchouli and animalic notes, you'll enjoy Hugo Boss.

I find I detect those aspects - particularly the honey and the jasmine coming to the fore very early on.In his medium phase it turns so floral, mainly rose and lavender, but is more complex than I describe. Some reviews say it's reminiscent of urinal pucks due to mix of cleaned restroom notes and pussy/musky/orange. I don´t remember when, but sometime later (weeks, maybe months), I got my Boss Number One in AFTER SHAVE version.

hours (even a bit longer as a skin scent, although it gets a sour/vinegary sort of impression in the background at that point, and it isn't all that pleasant) and about 6+ feet sillage for the first hour after application. You feel like you are in the presence of a orchestra with the conducteur mixing tons of lovable different notes and blending them together to form a symphony. I sprayed two sprays on a napkin to see what it smelled like and the wife came out of the bedroom and asked me what I just sprayed because she felt like her lungs were being assaulted. Edit: I just saw someone said that the wafts you get from this has that Terre de Hermes vibe, and it is absolutely correct! BTW: as the reviewer Pour Monsieur said somewhere, this really does smell way better on skin than on clothes. Now you’re settled down with a Mrs, 3 kids and a mortage and the pressures of life, the same scent may not have the same connotations of youthful freedom and good times. Only reviews that feature the label "Verified Review" have been checked to ensure that the author actually used or purchased the product. I can imagine that if I was lulled into a false sense of security and put on 6 or 7 sprays I might smell like a urinal. I always thought of it as a floral with a little something extra that I couldn't quite put my finger on. I like to have a change fromt eh usuals every now and then, so after Dior Sauvage, Paco Raban Million I thought I'd try Hugo Boss.
