Description

It was a four hour drive from our home in the Peak District and the boys said they were super comfy. If you’re looking for a folding car seat, a collapsible car seat, or just the perfect travel car seat, then read on. For example, the shell is made of 4 layers including a layer of cushioning, shock-proofing EPE foam.

I recorded a video for my Instagram stories showing me setting it up and I think it took me less than 40 seconds to demonstrate it! It is definitely worth watching the excellent instruction video from the brand, as it explains everything, making use much easier.Overall this would be perfect for traveling, car rentals, if you have multiple kids in carseats 3 in a row, carpooling, or for grandparents house. Although for fellow bongonauts with a side conversion, this isn’t possible anyway as there are only two seats in the back. The mifold Original seat uses a unique EVA DenseFoam (Ethylene-vinyl acetate) to provide constant support at pressure points. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.

While the Mifold booster fits on most cars, if you have a curved-back seat, it’s going to be problematic. But therein lay the crux of the problem: to me, the lightweight size looked small, modern, clean and practical. All three boosters they traveled with were able to fit in their carry-on luggage and, when it was time to hop into a car, all three lined up easily in the back of a sedan. A US Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) status report noted that one in five parents whose children carpool say they "bend the rules" when they drive, allowing children to ride without boosters. S.’s Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards FMVSS 213, which governs the performance and design criteria of child restraint systems for kids up to 80 pounds, and it meets or exceeds regulatory standards worldwide (excluding Australia). My middle seat only has a lap belt and this one does require a shoulder belt too but infrequently we do have my Mum in the car with us and fitting an adult in the middle between two giant seats is extremely uncomfortable for the person in that position (it’s usually me) and again this is where a MiFold could come into its own. Unlike a more traditional booster seat, the mifold does not "boost" children up and into a seatbelt-friendly position; rather, it pulls the seatbelt down to fit the child as they sit on the vehicle seat. It’s best to be used in the back of a car rather than the front and the added bonus to this is that you can fit three in a row which you absolutely couldn’t in most cars with most car seats. It is brilliantly adaptable, so can be used in lots of different situations, for kids of many shapes and sizes. The mifold Grab-and-Go booster seat is more than 10x smaller than a regular booster seat and just as safe.
